INDEPENDENT JEWELLERY VALUATION

Services and Fees

All valuation and consultancy services are performed either at the JES office (appointment only) or in the comfort of your own home or office. Services are also available via Retail Jewellers in the Midlands.

Valuations:
JES carries out valuations for all purposes on jewellery, gemstones, diamonds, watches and silverware. They specialise in antique and period items.
Purposes include: Valuation for Insurance, Probate, Divorce Settlement, Sale Between Parties and Loan Security.

Valuation Fees:

• Valuation for Insurance: £40 first item. £20 per item thereafter. 11th and subsequent items £10 each.
• Probate Settlement: £20 first item. £10 per item thereafter. Lower value items will be grouped and charged as 1 item.
• All other purposes: £30 first item. £15 per item thereafter.

The above fees are based on work carried out in the JES office. Travel to your home or office is charged at 35p per mile.

Consultancy Services:
Reports and verbal advice can be provided for a variety of purposes, including: Post-loss Assessment, Gemstone Identification, Equitable Distribution, Damage Reports, Pre-litigation advice etc.

Consultancy Fees:
Charged on an individual basis, depending on the complexity of the assignment. The minimum consultancy fee is £50. A free quotation is offered on request.
