A real Jewellery or Silver valuer really works at his or her art.
This is why a Member of the National Association of Goldsmiths Institute of Registered Valuers is so highly regarded in the trade.
A Jeweller can only become Registered through the prestigious National Association of Goldsmiths
They must be mature and have at least 5 years in the trade, 3 of which must be actually working on Valuations.
They must now also take the Professional Jewellery Valuation Diploma and agree to be monitored regularly.
They must also agree to attend the valuers Conference on a regular basis and agree to take regular update training to maintain their skills and professionalism.
They must then attend an intensive training seminar, then submit samples of work to a committee.
That committee then submits its recommendation to the board of the NAG and also submits the name of the prospective Valuer to all the members for comments or objections.
Each year thereafter the Valuer has to submit an application to be re Registered, it is an honour and a privilege to be part of such a group, not a right
